From Principal's Desk:

As a reference center for all matters pertaining to plant resources of the region, ALC-H is RPRCendeavoring to collect, conserve and propagate species of specialized and uniqueplant communities. The centerboasts of a diverse collection of medicinal plants, trees of rare and endangered species in its arboretum. The living collection of  rare plants  got a boost last year, with the addition of a number of wild  species, made possible due to arduous exploration undertaken in unexplored forest areas in Andhra Pradesh and adjoining states. All the living collections, seed accessions, herbarium collections, etc., are also recently put on the web for access to the public. The thrust of the research in the institute has been realigned to make it socially relevant.
